The City of Port St. Lucie, currently the 7th largest city in in Florida by population (220,000+ fulltime residents) and the 3rd largest city by area (120+ square miles), is seeking a Deputy City Attorney. This position requires general knowledge of municipal law, with specific experience in code compliance, solid waste, public facilities, and public works strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will join a full-time, in-house staff of 10 attorneys and 7 paralegals, and must be a team-player capable of excelling in a collegial environment. A successful candidate should have a minimum of 5-years experience representing local government and must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
