CTO seeks an Associate or Analyst – Investments that will be responsible for supporting senior Investment team members in the underwriting / financial review of asset cash flows, real estate metrics, and tenant creditworthiness. The Associate or Analyst will work with third party service providers including potential lenders, brokers, attorneys, and consultants to ensure that acquisitions are consummated. In addition, the Position requires analyzing, monitoring, and occasionally reporting on the performance of the Company’s portfolio of income-producing real estate investments.
Responsibilities
Completing initial underwriting and analysis of potential acquisitions
Coordinate due diligence including lease review, Argus audits, expense analysis, and conducting tenant interviews
Prepare presentations for Investment Committee and Board Approvals of pending acquisitions
Build and maintain relationships with developers, owners, and brokers in target markets
Communicate with internal stakeholders including accounting and legal departments
Collect market data and conduct benchmarking analysis
Ad Hoc analyses related to existing portfolio and projects to support CTO’s investment thesis
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferably with a concentration in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or Business or other related degree
2-3 years of relevant experience in real estate acquisitions, preferably retail shopping centers
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, primarily Excel, and Argus
Strong analytical skills and quantitative skills, specifically financial analysis
Highly organized, detail oriented, and motivated with the ability to multitask effectively in a deadline driven and entrepreneurial environment
