The Case Administrator supports the Medicare Set Aside Specialists and is responsible for maintaining Optum Settlement Solutions production standards.Primary Responsibilities:Promotes customer service by establishing and maintaining quality control standards and checkpoints, monitoring the progress of all cases to ensure work is being completed according to Optum Settlement Solutions standards and customer specificationsFosters and maintains a productive working relationship with assigned MSA Specialists and with all production personnelWorks to maintain outstanding customer relationshipsCommunicates with MSA Specialists on case progressWorks with MSA Specialists to prioritize and re-prioritize daily "to-dos"Handles all case management client contacts for MSA SpecialistObtains additional or missing information needed to complete the MSA report on set deadlinePrepares all assigned MSA cases in a timely and efficient orderStudies, analyzes and interprets complex instructions while balancing and prioritizing multiple projectsMaintains an orderly filing system, paper trail and detailed, up-to-date comments in Client Profiles System on each caseEnsures Special Handling Instructions are followed throughout the MSA processWorks with management on projects when selected and be able to provide informative and useful feedback
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED2+ years of experience working as a Claims Assistant, Legal Assistant, Medical Assistant and / or Administrative Assistant in a professional office environmentAbility to work in Microsoft Word (create and edit a letter), Microsoft Excel (edit, read, filter, and sort spreadsheets) and Microsoft Outlook (read and create emails)Ability to work Monday - Friday within standard business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, ESTPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Business, Medical or related fieldExperience working with Adobe Professional or Standard edition for editing PDF documentsPhysical Requirement and Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
